java - Fade ImageView edge to transparent -

i have imageview photo user selected gallery. it's on bottom of container , above have edittext. now, want fade top edge transparent (or white, doesn't matter, same). here's preview:

i achieved result placing imageview white-to-transparent gradient above selected image but, well, doesn't good. there way fade image xml or java?

you looking thing bitmap reflection effect.it can done using canvas,paint , shader.. have got great tutorial that.check link below
